【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscanbeusedtoensurethatthechemicalcompositionoftheglassmeetsthecompositionalspecificationrequiredforthefinishedglassproduct.Thesetestmethodsdonotprecludetheuseofothermethodsthatyieldresultswithinpermissiblevariations.Inanycase,theanalystshouldverifytheprocedureandtechniqueemployedbymeansofaNationalInstituteofStandardsandTechnology(NIST)standardreferencematerialhavingacomponentcomparablewiththatofthematerialundertest.AlistofstandardreferencematerialsisgivenintheNISTSpecialPublication260,3currentedition.Typicalexamplesofproductsmanufacturedusingsoda-limesilicateglassarecontainers,tableware,andflatglass.Typicalexamplesofproductsmanufacturedusingborosilicateglassarebakeware,labware,andfiberglass.Typicalexamplesofproductsmanufacturedusingfluorideopalglassarecontainers,tableware,anddecorativeglassware.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthequantitativechemicalanalysisofsoda-limeandborosilicateglasscompositionsforbothrefereeandroutineanalysis.Thiswouldbefortheusualconstituentspresentinglassesofthefollowingtypes:(1)soda-limesilicateglass,(2)soda-limefluorideopalglass,and(3)borosilicateglass.Thefollowingcommonoxides,whenpresentinconcentrationsgreaterthanindicated,areknowntointerferewithsomeofthedeterminationsinthismethod:2%bariumoxide(BaO),0.2%phosphorouspentoxide(P2O5),0.05%zincoxide(ZnO),0.05%antimonyoxide(Sb2O3),0.05%leadoxide(PbO).1.2Theanalyticalprocedures,dividedintotwogeneralgroups,thoseforrefereeanalysis,andthoseforroutineanalysis,appearinthefollowingorder:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
