【摘要】:Thesemethodscanbeusedtodeterminemagnificationsasviewedthroughtheeyepiecesoflightmicroscopes.Thesemethodscanbeusedtocalibratemicroscopemagnificationsforphotography,videosystems,andprojectionstations.Reticlesmaybecalibratedasindependentarticlesandascomponentsofamicroscopesystem.1.1Thisguidecoversmethodsforcalculatingandcalibratingmicroscopemagnifications,photographicmagnifications,videomonitormagnifications,grainsizecomparisonreticles,andothermeasuringreticles.Reflectedlightmicroscopesareusedtocharacterizematerialmicrostructures.Manymaterialsengineeringdecisionsmaybebasedonqualitativeandquantitativeanalysesofamicrostructure.Itisessentialthatmicroscopemagnificationsandreticledimensionsbeaccurate.1.2Thecalibrationusingthesemethodsisonlyaspreciseasthemeasuringdevicesused.ItisrecommendedthatthestagemicrometerorscaleusedinthecalibrationshouldbetraceabletotheNationalInstituteofStandardsandTechnology(NIST)orasimilarorganization.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
